Founding partner programme — 2026

Run your own ArcticNord territory.

We have built the systems, the brand and the supply chain for air conditioning done properly. We are now licensing all of it to established installers who want to run it in their own exclusive postcode territory — starting with five founding partners, at no licence fee.

Straight answer

Looking at air conditioning franchise opportunities?

Then you have probably found this page searching for an air conditioning franchise, an HVAC franchise, or a heat pump business opportunity. Worth being clear straight away: this is not a franchise. It is a licensed partner network, and the difference is the whole point.

A typical UK air conditioning franchise

  • A franchise fee up front, commonly £15,000 to £25,000 before you fit anything
  • An ongoing royalty on your turnover, whether the month was good or bad
  • A multi-year tie-in, with a cost to leave it early
  • A franchise agreement that governs how you run your own business

An ArcticNord partner licence

  • No licence fee at all for our first five founding partners
  • We earn on hardware supply and a monthly systems licence, and only once you are trading
  • Give notice and walk away — your customers stay yours, and there is no exit fee
  • Your limited company, your staff, your bank account. You licence the name and the systems, not the business

If a conventional franchise is what you want, there are good ones in this trade and we would rather you found the right fit. What we offer is an exclusive county territory, the software we run ArcticNord on, and trade supply — without the entry fee or the tie-in. More in the FAQs →

The opportunity

Demand is not the hard part any more.

British homes have started cooling as well as heating. Hotter summers, better-insulated houses that hold that heat overnight, home offices that need to be liveable in July — domestic air conditioning has moved from luxury to expectation, and the modern units doing the cooling are heat pumps that run the room warm in winter too.

The hard part is everything around the install. Most air conditioning businesses do not fail for want of customers. They stall because quoting is slow and inconsistent, because service work never gets systematised into recurring income, because compliance paperwork eats the evenings, and because a one-van operation buys hardware at one-van prices.

We have spent the last year solving exactly those problems for ourselves across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and South and West Yorkshire. The result is a working operating system for an air conditioning business — and it is far more useful shared across ten territories than kept in one.

What you get

The system, not just the sign.

A licence to trade as ArcticNord in your territory, and every tool we use to run ours.

FoxFace Calculator

Room dimensions in, heat load out, unit shortlist ranked against your own rate card — and a branded proposal signed on the driveway. Quotes leave the property with you instead of being written up on Sunday. See it →

Care plans that recur

Every install becomes a serviceable asset. Our maintenance platform handles plan sign-up, scheduling and renewals, so the work you did in year one keeps paying in years two through ten. See the care plans →

FoxFace — the jobs board

The CRM side of the same platform — pipeline, scheduling, customers, proposals, deposits and the F-Gas register, all hanging off one job record. Nothing typed twice. See it →

Your territory, found online

We run more than fifty local landing pages across our own patch. We build the same for your postcodes, on our domain, with our rankings behind them — and the enquiries they produce are yours.

Group buying power

Buy through our own trade counter rather than your own accounts — 4,200+ lines, approved distributor for Hisense, Fujitsu and Daikin, next day on stock items, 30-day terms. On a typical domestic install the margin difference is the single biggest line you can move. See the trade store →

A brand that is already built

Full ArcticNord identity, vehicle and workwear specifications, photography, the customer-facing site and the sales material. You are trading under a finished brand from your first survey, not building one in the evenings.

The kit

What you would actually be running.

Three things arrive on day one — a set of pages for your town that we build and rank, and the two halves of FoxFace that run everything from the first enquiry to the F-Gas certificate.

FoxFace

Powers ArcticNord

First, what FoxFace is.

Most air conditioning franchises hand you a brand and a manual. FoxFace is our platform, and every part of ArcticNord runs on it. The survey your engineer does on the driveway, the heat load behind the quote, the proposal the customer signs, the deposit, the install pack, the F-Gas register, the service plan renewals and the jobs board are all one system.

It is the thing that lets a small team quote same-day and keep the paperwork off the kitchen table. As a partner you get the same platform we use ourselves — configured to your rate card, your margins and your territory, under your own account with your own data.

01 — Your territory online

The site that brings the work in.

Our homepage runs a rotating set of heroes, and behind it sit more than fifty town pages — one for every place we cover. They are where most of our domestic work comes from. We build the same set for your postcodes, on our domain, with our rankings behind them, and every enquiry they produce goes straight to you.

Nine screens, in the order you would actually hit them on a Tuesday afternoon — the jobs board, the survey canvas, the heat-load breakdown, the ranked shortlist, the branded proposal, the deposit, Aurora, and the two your customer sees.

Forty-one minutes is the average survey-to-signed time across the FoxFace demo dataset. Every screen below runs on that demo firm's data.

Straight talking

What we are not promising.

Plenty of networks lead with a lead-generation number. We would rather you heard the honest version now than found it out in month three.

What we can genuinely do

  • Build and rank local pages for your postcodes on our domain, and pass you every enquiry they produce.
  • Give you a quoting, commissioning and care plan system that works from your first day of trading.
  • Put you on group purchasing terms for hardware from day one.
  • Run your local paid search and social alongside ours, so you are not learning it from scratch.
  • Give you a named person here who has actually done the job, not an account manager.

What we cannot do yet

  • Hand you a ready-made customer base in a territory where we have never traded. We do not have one there.
  • Promise a lead volume in month one. New territory pages take time to rank, and we will not pretend otherwise.
  • Replace your own local reputation and referrals. In this trade those still win the best work.
  • Carry a partner who cannot sell. The system makes a good installer faster; it does not make a reluctant one busy.

Territories

Where we are looking.

We are licensing territories across England. Pick a region to see the counties in it, then a county to see the towns it covers and where it sits on the map. We trade the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and South and West Yorkshire ourselves — everything else is open.

Counties are the unit we start from, but the line that matters is the postcode district — a territory is sized so one team can service everything it installs. Large counties may split; two small neighbours may combine. If you already trade somewhere on this list, tell us your postcodes and we will build the territory around the patch you know.

Founding partner offer

No licence fee.

We are opening the network with five founding partners. They get the system at no entry cost, because they are the ones proving it works outside our own territory — and because we would rather earn alongside you than charge you up front.

We earn from hardware supply and a monthly systems licence that only starts once you are trading. No fee is payable before you install your first system. Full terms are set out in the partner agreement, which we send before any commitment and which you should have your own solicitor review.

How it works

Three conversations, then you trade.

No lengthy assessment process. We are a small business talking to other small businesses.

1

Register your interest

Fill in the form below with a few details about your business and where you work. We read every one ourselves and come back within one working day.

2

An honest conversation

We walk you through the systems live, show you our actual numbers, agree your territory and share the partner agreement in full. You take it away and take advice on it.

3

Onboard and launch

We set up your systems, train your team, build your territory pages and get your supply accounts open. Then you start quoting under the ArcticNord name.

Before you apply

Is your business right for a territory?

Six questions, about a minute. You get a straight answer — including if the answer is no — and if it is a yes we carry your answers into the form so you are not typing them twice.

1 of 6

What do you install today?

We are looking for businesses already working in or next to the trade.

Are you F-Gas registered?

Legally required to handle refrigerant. Not a dealbreaker if you are working towards it.

How many people are in the business?

Including you, and counting anyone who works for you regularly.

Roughly what does the business turn over?

A ballpark is fine. Nobody is auditing this.

Who wins your work at the moment?

The honest answer here matters more than any of the others.

Where would your territory be?

We trade the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and South and West Yorkshire ourselves.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Is this a franchise? +

No, and the distinction matters. People find this page searching for an air conditioning franchise or an HVAC franchise, so it is worth saying plainly: this is a licensed partner network, not a franchise. You keep your own limited company, your own staff, your own bank account and your own customers. What you licence from us is the right to trade as ArcticNord in your territory, together with our systems, supply terms and marketing.

A franchise agreement would tie you far more tightly to us and would be considerably harder and more expensive for you to exit. We did not think that was the right way to start a relationship with people who already run good businesses.

If there is no fee, how do you make money? +

Two ways, both of which only pay us when you are actually trading. We take a margin on the hardware we supply you, and we charge a monthly systems licence once you have installed your first system. There is nothing to pay before that point.

It is a deliberate choice. We would rather our income depended on your volume than on your signature.

What sort of business are you looking for? +

An established installation business with its own engineers and its own local reputation. Ideally you already fit air conditioning or heat pumps and hold F-Gas registration, though we will talk to strong electrical or refrigeration businesses looking to move into the trade.

The single thing we care most about is whether you can sell. The systems will make a capable business considerably faster; they will not create demand where nobody is going out and winning it.

How exclusive is the territory, really? +

Contractually exclusive by postcode district. We will not appoint another partner in your districts and we will not trade there ourselves. Any enquiry that reaches us from your postcodes goes to you.

What happens if it does not work out? +

You give notice, you stop using the ArcticNord name and systems, and you carry on trading as your own company. Your customers remain your customers. There is no exit fee and no restriction on you continuing in the trade.

That is the practical advantage of a licence over a franchise, and it is why we structured it this way.

Do I need to change my company name? +

No. Your limited company stays exactly as it is. You trade publicly as ArcticNord in your territory — vehicles, workwear, quotes and marketing — while the underlying legal entity remains yours.
